About Attorney Dan Huff

Dan Huff is a fifth generation Tucsonan and experienced trial attorney with a focus in family law, juvenile law, adoptions, and appeals.  Over the past decade, Dan has demonstrated a strong record of dedication to his clients and use of effective and cost-efficient strategies in his legal work.  Dan’s background in finance allows him to provide clients with comprehensive advice on various case complexities.

Before entering private practice, Dan was an Assistant Attorney General for the State for seven years where he gained significant litigation and trial experience.  His trial work focused on prosecuting dependency and termination of parental rights cases, and establishing permanent guardianships for children.  For a time, Dan also performed all phases of litigation for the State in the Court of Appeals in cases involving the Department of Child Safety.  He also served on multiple court-improvement committees and was an attorney liaison for the State’s Office of Child Welfare Investigations.

Dan is also invested in strengthening the legal profession and improving outcomes for children, families, and the greater public.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the Amphi Foundation to raise and invest additional funds for public schools, as a Regional Council Member for Arizona’s First Things First (an initiative to support children ages birth to five), volunteers as a Judge Pro Tempore on family law and mental health cases in Pima County Superior Court, serves on steering committees at the Court, and serves on a local historic preservation commission.  He has also served on the Executive Councils of the Arizona State Bar’s Family Law and Public Lawyers Sections.

Dan graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in Washington with a Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2009.  He graduated from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance, in 2005.

When he is not working with his clients to achieve their respective goals and objectives, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, hiking the trails around the Tucson valley, and watching college basketball.
